Marissa's House Update

In June 2021, Call to Freedom broke ground on the new expansion of Marissa's House. Thank you to the wonderful contributors and volunteers who helped make this new home a place where survivors and their children could heal together and build a new life.

We opened in April 2022, but could not hold an open house due to the confidentiality and safety of the survivors. So instead, we would like to share an update and video tour of the facility.

Click on the picture below for the video.

Thank you to everyone involved who make this a reality. Because of you, lives are being changed!

Meet Joshua Duncan

Call to Freedom Board Member

Journeying with people to assist them in finding their place of peace as they learn more about themselves, is what I love to do. Joshua is a licensed addiction and mental health therapist working in private practice at Stronghold Counseling Services since September 2021. Prior to that he was at Carroll Institute for nearly five years. Joshua is also an ordained pastor, and most recently became the senior pastor at Center of Life Church, a non denominational church in Sioux Falls. He is working to complete his PHD in developmental psychology at Walden University in 2023. Being able to integrate the spiritual and mental with people to help them journey to a greater life of freedom, which is why he loves serving on the Call to Freedom board. When he has free time he loves spending it with his family, friends, and traveling to various places both domestically and globally.
